Armageddon and the gathering of the Kings

Armageddon and the gathering of the Kings.  In this presentation you will learn when Armageddon will be, what it means, where it will play out and what you need to do to be safe.

Our study on Armageddon and the Gathering of the Kings is startling prophecy that will involve every man woman and child on planet earth on the eve of Christ’s Second Coming, and there is so much confusion about the subject in Christian circles, but  all will be made clear as we delve into the book of Revelation.  But before I commence you will be aware that there are many Christians who say the book of Revelationis a closed book and cannot be understood, but this contradicts the opening verses of the Revelation, please notice Revelation1:3  (Rev 1:3 KJV)  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. The Apostle John says there is a blessing to be received for everyone who reads, hears and keeps the things written in the book of revelation.  The name Revelation means unveiling or something that is revealed.  In other words the book of Revelation is open for our understanding and as we read and study, the promise in chapter one is that we will be blessed.   Time Magazine’s cover read, “Thinking the unthinkable!” The story stated that mankind is at the brink of disaster in a world bristling with nuclear weapons. Harvard professor Bernard Lown lamented that “mankind is doomed, locked into a race toward Armageddon.”  In the movie Armageddon the world is on the verge of being destroyed by an asteroid.  There have been movies, books magazine articles about Armageddon, but what is it?  That term Armageddon is usually associated with the end of the world.  Some have said that it is a battle in the Middle East over oil, or it will start when the Jews pull down the Dome of the Rock Mosque and commence building the Jewish Temple in its place. Or it is the time when the rulers of this earth see the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and aim their nuclear warheads ready to do battle with Jesus Christ and His angels.  But none of these views are consistent with the way the Bible portrays Armageddon. The name  Armageddon is used only once in the entire Bible and it is found among the seven last plagues that decimate the earth, just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and it is found in the sixth plague of Revelation 16:16 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.14 For they are spirits of demons, performing miracles, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. The book of Revelation was written in Greek as was the entire New Testament, but on this one occasion John uses the Hebrew word Armageddon.  It comes from two Hebrew words Har meaning Mountain and megedon meaning Megiddo.  In other words Armegeddon means “Mountain of Megiddo.” There is no mountain called Megiddo in the Bible, but Megiddo was a city near a mountain range called Carmel.  Mount Carmel is the mountain of Megiddo, just the same as Mount Wellington is the Mountain of Hobart . . .(to continue reading this text go to the Orchard Melbourne Website by clicking here and then go to the contact us page, thank you).
